On January 17, 2026, the Father Sidney B. Parker Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians gathered in Jacksonville, Florida for their Annual MLK Luncheon — a tradition of remembrance, reflection, and renewal in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The afternoon brought together clergy, chapter members, and community guests for a time of fellowship and recognition.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of a Membership Recognition Award to Carolyn B. Parker, honoring her 56 years of dedicated service as a founding member of the chapter. The award read in part: "In appreciation of her enduring commitment and legacy."
